Pinterest Project: Bath Tub Finger Paint

Bath tub finger paint
Bath time in our house is a very hard time. My son is already rebelling against taking a bath. I’m sorry, but boys stink. I just can’t bare to let him go around smelling. I know, I know, it’s only going to get worse. ugh. I’m not ready for it! So in a attempt to make bath time fun and enjoyable, at least every – other – night, I have been scouring Pinterest (my newest friend) to find cheap, fun things to keep him entertained in the bathtub.

When I came across this post about bathtub paints, I knew I had to try it!
I used her basic recipe: 1 tbsp cornstarch, 4-6 pumps baby shampoo (about 1/8 c.), 2-3 drops food coloring, 1-2 tsp water. I just made more.
I ended up using 3 Tablespoons of cornstarch, 10 pumps of baby shampoo, and dribbled water in until it was not clumpy, I used 3 drops of blue food coloring to make this bathtub paint.

This turned into a fun sensory activity and he got a good wash down at the end!
Thanks Pinterest for another great idea!!

I love this idea. I work with children age birth-5 and am always looking for fun sensory activities. It looks like your little guy had a blast.

How fun, a messy project that cleans them all in one shot! Can’t beat that! šŸ™‚ I’m going to have to try this with my daughter.
