Essential Oils… Have You Tried These?

There are so many essential oils out there. So many that I am learning every day about new oils. I love using essential oils in my home. I am fairly new to the Essential oils game, so when the opportunity arose for me to get some oils for free to try and learn more about them I took it. Today I will be talking about Simply Earth brand of essential oils and sharing some things that I have learned about two new oils, well new to me any way. I received these oils for free in order to write this article. All opinions are my own. This post contains affiliate links.

Bergamot Essential Oils

There are so many essential oils out there. I am learning new things every day about different oils. Join me today as I explore Bergamot and Penny Royal essential oils.Bergamot is a citrus oil. It has a fruity/floral scent. This oil is analgesic, anti-inflammatory, antidepressant, anti-fungal, antispasmodic, anti-toxic, cooling, deodorant, and tonic.. This oil would be great in a home made deodorant. I have not ventured to try to make my own yet, but I bet Pinterest has a ton of recipes! I also diffuse this oil. The fruity/floral scent makes my house smell like sunshine; which really helps with seasonal depression.

Penny Royal Essential Oils

Penny Royal is a mint. Although this scent is not as strong as peppermint and has a sweet note to it, it is still minty. This oils is not safe to diffuse. You must be very careful around children, pregnant or nursing moms with this oil.
This oil is  antiseptic, antispasmodic, carminative, digestive and a great insect repellent. This would be a good one to use for a dog/cat flea repellent. I actually put a few drops on my dryer balls. Also you could incorporate this into you homemade laundry soap.

Simply Earth Brand

Simply, ¬†I love this brand. There are a ton of essential oil brands out there; those giant MLM companies who started this whole craze and several smaller companies trying to make their way. So why do I love this brand? This brand was started by people who want to make a difference. They are Christians who want to offer low cost products to people just like you and I. Last week I talked about how they give back. This week I want to mention that I really like to shop local whenever I can. This company is not necessarily “local” to me, but it is in the United States. Supporting small businesses here in the USA is important to me.
