I was so excited when I received my OvenArt bakeware in the mail! I have been wanting to try a silicone muffin tin for a while now, our budget is tight and I have to be careful with what I purchase. This item has not been in our budget, so when I saw that I could apply to test and review it I jumped on it!
I also wanted to try this easy recipe that I ran across. I had to try this simple two ingredient recipe out! I love to eat, but I hate to cook. I am always looking for fun easy recipes to cook for my family, if they are toddler approved I feel like I hit a jackpot! You know how picky preschoolers can be.
1 box of Angel food Cake Mix
1 can (20oz) of crushed pineapple
Mix the two and bake. I used my cupcake tin and baked at 375 degrees for 15 minutes. This could easily be a cake as well. Boom! So sweet they do not need icing. We scarfed down three a piece as they came out of the oven.
Product Review: OvenArt Bakeware
And now for the review of OvenArt Bakeware. I had read another blogger’s review last week. She said to spray the tin with cooking spray and the muffins would slide right out. Well, I gave this tin a true test. I forgot to spray it. I have a Little Crab running around, he is a great help, and also a distraction. We started filling the cups before I remembered to spray the tin. The cupcakes did not slide right out, however, they were not ruined either. I used a fork to loosen them. They don’t look pretty, but they taste awesome! That is all that really matters in my house. I will continue to use my OvenArt Bakeware, it’s always nice to have an extra muffin tin.
I have two tips for using silicone bakeware. 1. Spray the pan. I bet they would have slid right out if I would have remembered. 2. Use a cookie sheet to keep it stable. It’s not flimsy by any means, but silicone by nature is flexible. I kept it on a cookie sheet so I could get it in and out of the oven easier.
I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
