I am in full nesting mode. As we prepare to move our family across the country, I am getting more and more excited about decorating a new to me abode. While we will not be taking furniture, we will be taking “things”.
I found this great tutorial on how to make no sew pillows. I found that I already had pillows that I wanted to use. They are big, ones that you would throw on the floor and lounge on. I wanted to keep my colors fairly neutral since we will be living in a furnished apartment or house at first.
So I went over to my local fabric store and picked out some fleece. The colors I choose just happened to be on sale to boot!
Here is what I did to adapt their instructions to make my pillows.
Cut 2 identical shapes from the fleece. To allow for a 4-inch fringe, be sure to cut the shapes 8 inches larger than you want your finished pillow.
Measure and draw fringe that’s about 1 inch wide and 4 inches long on one piece of fleece. Then cut through both layers of fleece.
Lay your pillow form on top of one piece of fleece and put the other piece on top of the pillow.
I began tying the fringe in the middle of one side. I had someone else start in the middle of the exact opposite side and tie. Because my pillows are square I had to cut off and discard the corner fringes, it was a little confusing figuring out how it would line up.
A Big thank you to Leslie at From a Daughter for making this awesome new button for me! Check out her blog!

This is a cute idea
We love our snuggly stuff around here. My little guy has some sensory issues so we use a LOT of fleece and furry stuff!
I love your pillows Erica!

This is a great idea. I’ve seen blankets like this, but never pillows. It would be great if you linked up with Hobbies and Handicrafts.
