Well I have to be honest. This post is going to be about a Pinterest fail. I was so hopeful when I found this pin. It even has updated directions from others who have tried to make these.

Here is what you need: Baking soda, Water, Essential oils (I used spearmint), Muffin tin, and Muffin liners.
Here is what I did. Put 1 cup of baking soda in a bowl. Add 1/3 cup water until you make paste. (mine never turned into paste I stirred and stirred), pour into muffin liners about 2/3 of the way full and bake for 20 minutes at 350. Then add 15 drops of essential oils once cooled.
Hmmm. Something went wrong. First my baking soda never got to paste. Maybe I added the water too fast. I stirred and stirred it just didn’t seem to come together. Then when I baked them they boiled over. This is how they came out. ———>
I went ahead and added the essential oils anyway, even though a few of them looked runny.
Then when I went to take them out of the muffin tin the paper liners tore. Oh these look ugly!
I put them on a plate and took them up to the bathroom to use the next morning. I unwrapped one and put it in the shower. I dissipated instantly. I could smell the spearmint, but I was disappointed because in her blog post she took a 5 min shower and still had some left.

Ugh, that sucks that it didn’t turn out. I hate Pinterest fails! I’ve had my fair share of them too. I wonder if maybe there was too much water? I’ve been wanting to try this one too (especially since I have a head cold right now).
Thanks for linking up to The Pinspiration Project!
