The fourth of July is quickly approaching. We will be barbeque-ing and enjoying friends and family. Most picnics are covered dish style. What are you going to take?
This trifle is easy to put together and will be a hit at your celebration. Take a break from your diet and enjoy this light and fluffy desert.
Red, White and Blue Trifle
Mix pudding as directed on box. Fold cool whip into pudding. Set into refrigerator until needed. Wash and slice strawberries, saving one large one. Sprinkle strawberries with sugar then let sit until needed. Rinse blueberries . You can make your angel food cake at home. If you do, you will need to let it cool before using it in this recipe. (I cheated and bought one from the bakery at my grocery store.) Cut angel food cake into small cubes. I used about 3/4 of the cake.
Cover bottom of trifle dish with cake. Add layer of strawberries then a layer of blueberries. Cover with white chocolate pudding. Repeat layers. Top with outside ring of sliced strawberries. Next ring of blueberries and add the one large strawberry in the middle.
Refrigerate until ready to eat. Your guests will love this desert! It’s so festive and perfect for any summer barbeque.
