A few night ago Little Crab and I went over to a friends house for a play-date. We had dinner with them as well. While the boys played, my beautiful friend and I started dinner and made apple pie bites for desert. Yum!
She whipped together this simple Tater Tot Casserole that her mom makes. I found it so simple that I wanted to share it with you. You know how I like an easy dish. This would be good for a weeknight meal or maybe to take to the dinner you just got invited to. It is always nice to take a few moments and eat together as a family, or in this case our two families. Spending time together is a great way to show you care.
Simple Tater Tot Casserole
What you will need: a bag of tater tots, one can of cheddar cheese soup, one cup of shredded cheddar cheese (divided), milk.
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
Spread out your tater tots into a 9×13 pan. Make sure they are in a single layer. In a bowl mix together the can of cheese soup, a can of milk and 1/2 of the cup of cheddar cheese. Pour over the tater tots. Bake for about an hour.
The last ten minute of baking sprinkle the remaining cheese over the tater tots. (more if desired)
Our boys, aged 3 and 4 loved this and so did we. We had this in the oven baking while her husband grilled the cheeseburgers. We started the apple pie bites and put them in the oven when these came out. By the time we were done eating dinner, desert was ready!
