This post is sponsored by Chobani. They contacted me and asked how my family dips.
Fall is right around the corner which means after-school treats, on-the-go snacks, and football tailgates are here. Dips are a fun way to get your kids to try new vegetables. We all need to eat more veges. Its hard to get those 3-5 servings a day! Carrots are always a first choice in our house and ranch is always around. But…what if you want to try something new? What if you finally talked the kids into trying a new dip? and/or a new item to dip? What would you do them?
Three Dips to Get Your Kids to try New Things
Salsa – any brand-any heat you like
Cut open the Avocados, scoop them out and mash them up. Add a palm full of garlic salt and a squeeze of lemon juice. Add 2-3 tablespoons of salsa and stir, then add 2-3 tablespoons of Sour Cream to taste. Cover and refrigerate for an hour. Stir and serve!
2. Chobani Mezé Dips™ are bold, rich and creamy, made with real vegetables and only natural ingredients, for a delicious taste you’ll love. My favorite is the Chill Lime! Knowing that these dips are made with vegetables helps me to sneak some into my sons diet! He loves this dip and doesn’t know, so please don’t tell him! I don’t mind that he is dipping crackers, but I keep offering carrots. Just keep offering, eventually they will try it!
3. Old fashioned ranch dip. I’m not talking about the ranch from the bottle. No, get the packet of ranch and mix it up your self. Offer plenty of options to dip with this creamy and flavorful dip. The image to the right has some great vegetable options to help you replace crackers and chips. Of course I always have those on hand just to get my kid to eat!
